Quikrete, located in Comstock Park, MI, needed its aluminum tanks refreshed and fortified. With years of wear and exposure, the tanks required a specialized touch to restore their strength and appearance. When we arrived on-site, we knew this would be a detailed and technical task. The aluminum tanks on their carbon steel frame demanded a meticulous sandblasting process, followed by the application of specific Tnemec products tailored for durability and longevity. Scope of Services:

• Sandblasting: We thoroughly sandblasted the aluminum tanks, removing existing coatings and surface contaminants to create a clean base for optimal paint adhesion.
• High-Performance Coating: Applied Tnemec’s Series V69 Hi-Build Epoxoline II (Polyamidoamine Epoxy) as a protective layer, followed by Series 394 PerimePrime (Aromatic Polyurethane, Mio-Zinc Filled Primer) to enhance the tanks’ resistance to corrosion. Finally, we added a finishing coat of Series 1090 Endura-Shield (Aliphatic Acrylic Polyurethane) for superior durability and an attractive appearance.
